Shinkai Heavy Henley T-Shirt - Indigo

The Tanuki Shinkai Henley takes everything we love about their indigo-dyed tees and adds a classic three-button henley placket for a little extra structure. The fabric is the star here. Knitted entirely in Japan using an ultra-thick 8-count slub yarn, this heavyweight jersey has pronounced irregularity that recalls hand-spun cotton. The natural indigo rope dye delivers a deep blue tone that will fade aggressively with wear and washing, revealing character quickly and beautifully. The body has a slightly longer cut with more room through the chest than a typical slim tee, which gives it a balanced drape right out of the gate and even better control once washed. Finished with Tanuki’s signature blue side seams and an embroidered “二” logo at the shoulder, this is a serious indigo henley built to age hard.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size large in the pictures. He tried on the medium, and it was just a bit too tight. The large was an absolutely perfect fit. It had a bit of room in the chest and the sleeves were just the right length. We recommend sizing up once to get the full effect of the wider and slightly longer silhouette. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
