The Samurai Jeans "Bursting Forth" Printed T-Shirt carries a graphic rooted in one of Japan's most enduring poetic traditions. The image on the back references Hanaguhashi Sakura, an ancient Japanese expression from waka poetry used to honor the cherry blossom as the most beautiful of all flowers. In Japan the cherry blossom is more than an aesthetic, it is a feeling, the wind through the petals carrying with it the collective relief that a long winter is finally giving way to something warmer and new. Samurai has taken that weight of meaning and put it on the back of a soft, breathable loopwheel tee cut 3cm longer than the standard length, a quiet but deliberate detail that changes the proportion and makes it work as a standalone piece as naturally as a layer.

Fit Notes: Normally, t-shirts run pretty small from Samurai. Tommy chose to wear an XL for the photoshoot, and that paid off. He really appreciated the extra room in the body. We would recommend sizing up at least once from what you normally wear. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs with a 41" chest.
