Three fibers here, each covering something the other two cannot. Merino carries the bulk of the blend at 55% and handles temperature, taking on moisture vapor as it builds and releasing it again, so the sweater keeps an even feel across a long day rather than swinging hot and cold. Silk accounts for 30%, lending real strength to the yarn along with drape and a cool, low sheen that keeps the surface from reading flat. The final 15% is fine cashmere, combed from the downy undercoat that keeps the goats warm through Himalayan winters, and it brings the loft and the softness you notice the moment the knit meets your skin. Spun together and knit light, the three produce a longsleeve that falls close to the body and moves with it instead of holding a rigid shape, which is what makes it work under a jacket through autumn and winter.
