Ultralight Down Parka Packable - Orange

$ 375.00

We've been looking for an outerwear brand specializing in down for quite some time. When we stumbled upon Nanga on our last visit to Japan, we couldn't help but to wonder if one day they would make it to the States. To our surprise, they were at the very next show we attended. The product is as good in person as it looks online! Their colors are out of this world with a lot of the garments having an almost translucent effect. It's what visually drew us to the brand from the start. And to top it all off, most of their goods are made in Japan...something you just don't see in the technical world.

The Ultilight Down Parka Packable is Nanga’s answer to true all-season versatility. Built from ultrathin 10x7dn recycled ripstop nylon, this piece feels almost weightless while still delivering serious warmth from 760FP Spanish DX down. The quilting is tuned to the exact down volume, minimizing cold spots and helping the jacket trap heat efficiently. The hood is down-filled and designed to sit close to the head, holding tight even in windy conditions. Shirred elastic at the cuffs and hood keeps warm air in without adding bulk.

What makes this model special is its portability. The right-hand waist pocket doubles as a built-in stuff sack, letting the entire jacket fold into itself for easy storage in a backpack, tote, or glove box. Four exterior pockets add real function, including two vertical napoleon pockets for quick access. Whether worn as a featherweight outer layer or as a mid-layer under a shell, this is a highly adaptable down system built for travel, early-morning commutes, and harsh winter stackups. Soft, compact, and incredibly warm for its size, this is one of Nanga’s most practical everyday jackets.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing a Japanese XL in this piece. He went up one to get a little more room in this more snug fit. If you're buying for utility, you probably want it to be tight to the body for warmth. If you want it more for style and layering, size up one for sure! Tommy is 5'9," 162lbs with a 40" chest.
