A crossed back yoke splits the shoulder into overlapping panels so the arms can reach and pull with the garment rather than against it, and the body runs long enough to layer over whatever a sailor already had on. 3sixteen builds its USN Overshirt on that template and changes the fabric every season. This round uses a Japanese flannel twill in a bright cobalt blue, brushed three times rather than the usual once. Each pass lifts more nap off the surface, and the result is a hand that genuinely deserves the word buttery, soft the moment you put it on rather than after a dozen washes.
